The Most Active Student Chapter

This is my first blog entry. Right now administrators, advisors, and SMPTE Chapter 11 officers have write permission to create blog entries. Each permitted person will have their own blog and the Blogs link will show all blogs for all people, sorted by date.

We aren't live yet but we hope to be soon. This site will be found at SMPTE Chapter 11 but while it's under construction it is hosted under a different domain name.

The category section seen when creating a blog entry allows free-tagging. Free-tagging allows each person to create a new tag (category) for blogs. Although a category isn't required, I'd suggest you, at the least, enter your user name in the category, that way anyone can click on the category name and get a list of all your categorized content on the site. Multiple tags are allowed so you can create other connected content. The category field is auto-completing, it will look up tags with the same name as you type it.

It's customary to create a blog entry for a single or limited idea; they aren't really designed for long thought-out articles. In the future I will create new entries as things shape up. Other members will hopefully create entries of their own as needed.
