- What Is SATV? Student Access Television (SATV) is a Student club providing access to facilities, equipment, and training for students in order to produce and telecast television shows that interest or benefit those in the Napa Valley college area, the Napa area community and beyond.
- Who Pays For SATV? SATV’s primary funding sources were made possible through Napa Valley College and generous donations from the broadcast television industry.

What Can Be Seen On SATV? SATV is a College television resource, with a diverse combination of program possibilities. Programming areas may include and are not limited to:
- College Community – Any program which has a main theme based in the Napa Valley College community. Included within this category are programs about individual students, student groups, news casting, student lifestyles, clubs and organizations, community events, forums, theater events, college history, and other activities.
- Community – Any program which has a main theme based in community. Included within this category are programs about individuals, lifestyles, community organizations, schools, community events, forums, town hall meetings, clubs, community history, and activities.
- Student Government – Any program promoting student governance from televised board meetings to political announcements from student candidates.
- Arts /Entertainment – Any show which has Fine Arts, Performing Arts or Entertainment as it’s main theme. Included within this category are musical performances, theatrical productions, shows about artists and/or their work.
- Special Presentations – Any program that does not fall specifically within another programming category or any special programming developed. Included within this category are independent films and documentaries and special speakers and presentations.
- Sports – Any program which has organized or individual sports as its main theme. Included within this category are programs that promote physical fitness, sports activities such as games and tournaments, and documentaries about team or individual achievement in sports.
- Where Is SATV Located? The SATV studio is located at Napa Valley College, 2277 Napa-Vallejo Highway, Room 1230 Bldg 1200, Napa, Ca 94558.
Please note that because SATV is located on a public college campus it is necessary for all guests to sign in upon entering the SATV studio. All SATV Members and Guests are required to recognize and abide by Napa Valley College campus policies and rules.
- What Will It Cost Me? As a student organization at Napa Valley College, there is no cost to be associated as a member. As a Producer, you are responsible for the costs of your sets and any damages arising from equipment neglect.
